Pocket ACES are at best an 80/20 favorite. Even a 2/7 offsuit has a preflop chance of pulling it out.

All-in pre-flop is rarely a good move if everyone is deep stacked.I like playing cash games at $1/$2 NL where everyone starts with $100-$300 in chips. A typical pre-flop raise is between $6 and $12. Anything more than that, and you'll only collect the $3 in blinds. If the flop isn't connected, say 3-8-Q, you can get a lot of money from someone who has K-Q or A-Q.But if the flop is connected, say three hearts, or 9-10-J, then you can bail and cut your losses.Remember, minimizing your losses is just as important as maximizing your wins.
