If you pay attention to most shows it is easy to see who is the producer or directors favorite. It comes down to personal choices. Maybe the brains at the network think he makes the shows exciting instead of repulsive.

I think it's pretty obvious why he gets so much air time.

First of all, he has more rings than any other poker player in history. He is one of the best, most successful poker players ever. Second, he is a jack ass. He goes off on people and it's very entertaining. He's great for ratings.
