Broomcorn's uncle. Anted himself to death. What the hell is Doyle Brunson
talking about? Doyle tells a joke in Super System in which he tells another player he's going to go out like Broomcorn's uncle. "He anted himself to death."Does anyone have a clue what he's talking about? I know he's trying to make a joke revolving around players going so broke they don't even have enough money for the ante, and have seen that it's supposed to be a play on words with "ante" and "auntie" but this still doesn't make sense.Who the hell is Broomcorn and why would his uncle be "auntied" to death. Is there some Broomcorn character in a book whose uncle was murdered by his aunt? What the hell Doyle Brunson talking about?I know it's a joke, but the joke doesn't make any sense. It would make sense if Broomcorn's uncle were some known figure who was killed by his wife (and then "auntied" himself to death would make sense and be funny in the context of the joke) but there is no connection like that for it to make any sense.
